Finster integrates Crunchbase to expand private company coverage
Finster now delivers structured access to startup and venture data alongside existing coverage of public company sources.
At Finster, we focus on reducing the time financial services professionals spend gathering information, so they can spend more time applying judgment. Now, we have expanded our private market data coverage by integrating Crunchbase.
Crunchbase adds structured data on millions of startups and venture-backed companies to Finster’s research pipeline. Users can quickly ramp up on private companies, understanding their funding history, lead investors, and product offerings, and combine these results with public market data from EDGAR, investor relations pages, earnings transcripts, and premium sources like FactSet and Morningstar.
This integration supports a wide range of financial workflows. Users can generate comparable company tables that include private firms, map ownership structures, understand funding trends, and build strip profiles - all with source-level citations and clear audit trails.
Crunchbase joins our growing network of data partners, strengthening Finster’s position as a single entry point for public and private company research.
“At Finster, we equip financial analysts with the depth and speed to uncover sharper insights and act faster. The Crunchbase integration builds on our public markets data by adding valuable visibility into early-stage funding, startups, and the broader venture ecosystem. It lets users screen emerging companies more effectively, accelerate due diligence, and expand idea generation, all with the same traceability and rigour Finster is known for.” - Seán Kilgarriff, Founding Team & Product Lead.
The Crunchbase integration is now available to all Finster clients.
